My name is Manchit. I am in my second year in the Health Sciences Program at McMaster University. I got involved with OneHeart because I wanted to get involved in the community. While doing personal research, I found that there is a high rate of heart attacks among South Asians. I am a South Asian myself and wanted to help raise awareness in a cultural and language friendly way. I am getting involved in heart research, as well as, other initiatives to help seniors improve their brain health.

Prem Thandi, Life Sciences; I got involved in OneHeart because I believe it is an organization that is able to create real change on a ground level. I found OneHeart particularly for me due to the fact that so much care is given to make sure the right people are reached in the right way in order to make real change. A fun fact about me is I like cars.
Hi, my name is Neha Jakhu and I am a fourth-year student studying at the Schulich School of Business. I am currently completing my Bachelor of Business Administration and I am interested in pursuing a career in law. I got involved with One Heart because I was seeking opportunities that could help me engage more with my community. I also feel personally connected to this initiative because I know a family friend who also suffers from heart attacks, therefore, I want to do anything I can to help others prevent it. I am also the President of York Ace and work with teaching first-year students on competing in case competitions. A fun fact about myself is that I won a volleyball Intramural competition at York University although I had never played competitively before!

I am Harjot Sekhon, a passionate advocate for cardiac health, dedicated to empowering individuals towards optimal heart wellness. I currently serving as a member of the One Heart Organization. Through research, initatives and advancement oppertuntites, my goal is to aid in creating a community where every individual has the opportunity to thrive and grow. Ultimately, I am honored to be part of the transformative journey towards heart wellness at One Heart.
